There’s not only cooperative combat, but you’ll have cooperative objectives to tackle with your team as well. You’ll be able to share locations with each other and move together across the map.

Blow the doors off! Things can be destroyed in Helldivers 2, and some of the optional objectives will encourage you to blow places to bits. Sometimes when you find points of interest, you'll see crates or doors nearby. Throw a grenade and open them up to find even more loot.

It’s something you would expect from co-op Helldivers 2 Gameplay mission based shooters where you’d get mobbed from time to time, but Helldivers has always nailed the feeling of being overwhelmed by hordes to a tee. Did I also mention that team killing was also made less of a problem now due to the third-person perspective change? It’s amazing that you don’t accidentally shoot someone as much as before (I’m not saying that it won’t happen, because it still can). The game offers different weapons, stratagems, and cosmetics through its "battle pass" wherein you can even trade for currency that you buy using real money.

You can even sneak past encounters if your team moves carefully. You’re all free to decide how you want to spread Managed Democracy: up close and personal, or with tactical oversight.

It’s definitely awkward to use, as sometimes you can run immediately after diving, but sometimes you get stuck in the prone position and just get mauled by the mob.

We also learn a little bit about how important it is to strategize with your comrades to avoid lacking essential amour or equipment for certain enemies which you’ll inevitably need to face.  

Helldivers 2 seems like it'd be a ton of fun to play with someone via local "couch" split-screen co-op, which is why it's such a bummer that the game doesn't support this feature on PC or PS5.

But you won't need to hit L1 and try to check these during fights, as a handy little pop-up appears on the screen to tell you when you've just got a few more seconds to wait.

Sharing is caring. Helldivers 2 encourages multiplayer, and it's honestly much faster to take down objectives with a larger squad. You can have up to 3 teammates with you on each mission, and multiplayer can be with friends or through random matchmaking. When you're working as a team, you'll have to and will want to share certain things.
